Welcome to the Wellness Concepts Community Garden

To celebrate Earth Month, we asked the Wellness Concepts team what they'd plant in their plot in the hypothetical Wellness Concepts Comminuty Garden. Many of their plots are a reflection of their real gardens at home. We hope this inspires you to get outside and get growing!

    CaitlinGardenCaitlin's Plot

    I want a dog-friendly garden!
    1. Carrots
    2. Blueberries
    3. Green beans
    4. Peas

    ElliottGardenElliott's Plot

    1. Basil: delicious and easy to grow – I’m starting some seeds this weekend!
    2. Chamomile: beautiful flowers and great for tea!
    3. Snap peas: so many memories of picking these with my great-grandfather (a farmer) and eating right off the vine!
    4. Sunflowers: I just think it’s cool how tall they get 😊

    KarissaGardenKarissa's Plot

    1. Lavender: for calm nervous systems and dreamy apothecary
    2. Dandelion greens: wildly underrated, great for detox and deeply resilient.
    3. Chili peppers: because a little fire keeps things interesting!
    4. Tomatoes: specifically heirlooms, for the nostalgic summer sandwich vibes.

    KaylaGardenKayla's Plot

    1. Strawberries: fresh strawberries are superior to grocery store strawberries – arguably the best summer fruit!!
    2. Zucchini/squash: Never ending surplus and so many ways to cook!
    3. Herbs: Recipes are so yummy with fresh herbs! Bonus points for BASIL!
    4. Butterfly bushes: Beautiful flower blooms all summer long that attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your yard

    WCCommunityGarden2Michele's Plot

    1. Dahlias: they are my favorite flower
    2. Cilantro: for all the guac and salsas
    3. Tomatoes: I can eat them like fruit and homemade sauce yummmm

    MKGarden

    MK's Plot

    1. Pumpkins: for my Halloween display
    2. A blueberry bush: for the prefect summer snack
    3. Salad greens: so I don’t have to deal with bags of greens going slimy in the fridge
    4. Garlic: because it’s the foundation of so many recipes and so delicious
